True, so how would you describe your role in Aus, say, to a child?
I lead a team of very smart and creative people. What they do is come up with very clever ways to help people choose what to buy whenever they need something.
Tell us about you and what makes you get up in the morning?
I am a father of two beautiful little girls. They wake me up in the mornings. Coffee gets me out of bed, surfing gets me out the door, but it's the challenge and excitement of influencing people's behaviour that keeps me coming back to the office.

Snoozing my alarm clock at least 3x times... then the day begins!

We develop creative solutions that help people move from living to looking, to buying. We are movers and shakers!

What do you do for a living?
I show people how epic their lives would be if the products and brands we work with are in it, and while I'm at it I act as a human traffic controller to make sure the right people are in the right room, all the time.
What's the best part of your day?
We have a great lunch spot right near our office with awesome food. Other than lunchtime though, unpicking the client business brief and diving into consumers' behaviours and psychology to make a brief the creatives will get excited about and clients can get behind makes my day a cracking one!
What do people not know about Integer you would like them to know?
Shopper isn't 'in-store marketing' it's a tool that should be leveraged everywhere relevant to move consumers from living to looking to buying as quickly and fluidly as possible. That's why we're a COMMERCE agency with CX in our hearts and minds.

The famously energetic one, what keeps that energy bubbling?
I've always been a passionate person and one of my favourite quotes of all time is from Roald Dahl: “I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. If you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it at full speed ahead. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it, and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good. Hot is no good either. White hot and passionate is the only thing to be.” So I'm pretty much like that with everything.
Great, what's something you wish people knew about Integer?
Integer is siloed as a 'shopper marketing' agency, which is massively important for our clients. But the team around them has experience in pretty much all areas of marketing. I think that's why we're always going above and beyond for our briefs.
What's your hope for creativity in Shopper Marketing?
With access to research and data these days and 'what the customer wants' it's become fail-safe. I wish we'd go with our guts more and throw a few 'Hail Marys' out there. Any clients out there that want to do that give us a call!

What are you thinking about as you scoot over the bridge to work?
How every second person is either looking down at their phones or listening to podcasts or music as I effortlessly weave between them.
The power of copy in shopper is everything, how do you keep it punchy?
I talk directly to the reader in the present tense and in the quickest possible way, making sure they get what's in it for them in a memorable way.
What does it take to be successful in your role?
Keeping it fun, always seeing it from the consumer's perspective and channelling what's relevant and entertaining to people.
